Garden and Barbecue Hut

There is a small but pretty garden right on the shoreline with lawns, herbaceous borders and an ornamental fruit and vegetable Potager that provides the kitchen with fresh herbs, salad leaves, berries and orchard fruit. There are sub-tropical plants, including some rare and unusual specimens purchased from our local nursery. We strongly recommend our green-fingered guests visit Garden Cottage Nursery for an amazing selection of plants and great advice on how and where to plant them.

For our exclusive use guests, there is a delightful BBQ hut in the garden. This cosy space is perfect for cooking in any weather. The family will prepare a variety of meat, fish, kebabs, salads, home-made bread and desserts that can be cooked over the huge central fire pit . A cheeseboard and Port will be waiting in the Henry Bacon room to round off the evening.
